Enyinna Nwigwe (born September 18, 1982) is a Nigerian actor and producer. He is best known for The Wedding Party, Black November, and Black Gold.

Early life and education

Nwigwe was raised in Ngor Okpala in Imo State, along with two sisters and a brother, by retired public servants.[1]
He graduated from the University of Calabar in Nigeria with a degree in Economics.[2]He speaks both Igbo and English.[3]
Career While in university, Nwigwe began his career as a runway and print model before transitioning to acting.[4] He made his professional film debut in the 2004 film Wheel of Change (directed by Jeta Amata).[5]He now travels between Los Angeles and Nigeria to work. [6] He appeared in multiple Nigerian films before being cast in Black November opposite Kim Basinger, Mickey Rourke, Vivica A. Fox, Akon, Wyclef Jean, and Anne Hechein 2012.[7] In 2015, he was cast in the lead role of a gay pastor in the short film Hell or High Water (directed by AMVCA winner Asurf Oluseyi), for which he openly expressed his commitment to working on "socially relevant film(s)".[8][9]
In 2017, News of Africa named him #1 in the 12 Sexiest Nollywood Actors of that year.[10]

Awards and Nominations

In 2015, Nwigwe was nominated for a Nollywood and African Film Critics Award, also known as the African Oscars, for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in Black November.[11]In 2016, he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor ofthe Year (English) at the City People Entertainment Awards.[12]

Black November

From Nollywood to Hollywood, this was Nwigwe’s first appearance in an action packed movie starring an international and Nigerian cast made up of Akon,Wyclef Jean,Mickey Rourke, Vivica A. Fox,Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Kim Bassinger, Anne Heche, Sarah Wayne, Mbong Amata, Ibrahim Abba-Gana, Fred Amata, and Zack Amata. "Black November" was inspired by a true story. The story set in Los Angeles in the United States and in Nigeria is about the Niger Delta and the exploitation of the people.

Silver Rain

Nwigwe and Joselyn Dumas with their co-stars atthe premiere of "Silver Rain"  ( film directed by directed by Juliet Asante features the actor alongside Ghanaian actress Joselyn Dumas as well as other cast members from South Africa, Kenya, and Sierra Leone. Here's a breakdown of the film: Class struggle can only have one winner. In this gripping love story, Ajoa, a ‘Kayayo’ street girl from Accra, meets Bruce, the rich heir of the Timothy fortunes. Their friendship sets into motion a class war, as Ajoa struggles to cross the class divide and find love, Bruce struggles to find himself.

Thy will be Done

The actor features in "Thy Will be Done" alongside Ramsey Nouah, Mary Njoku,Mercy Johnson, and Jide Kosoko. The film is about a pastor whose life is turned upside done when the wife he buried seven years ago come back to life. The once happily married man is forced to choose between his current wife or his old wife.

Turning Point

The film directed by Niyi Towolawi once again sees the actor working with a Hollywood cast including Ernie Hudson,Joe Estevez,Cynda Williams,K.D. Aubert,Todd Bridges. And a Nollywood cast including Patience Ozokwor,Oge Okoye and Ebbe Bassey.A Nigerian-American playboy deals with the consequences after abandoning his American sweetheart for an arranged wife from back home.

Suru Lere

The University of Calabar alumnus plays a role in The Audrey Silva Company's upcoming film 'Surulere'. The movie also stars Seun Ajayi,Kemi ‘Lala’ Akindoju,Beverly Naya and Rita Dominic. The film set in Lagos follows the life of a young, timid graduate Arinze desperate to beat his financial burdens. In his journey, he meets a charming go getter Omosigho. Their meeting shoots off a series of events that pressure Arinze into a get rich quick scheme.
