[Photos From Beychella]: Beyoncé makes history with live performance at Coachella

#Beychella: Beyonc? makes history with live performance at Coachella

Last year, Queen B 'Beyonce' missed her slot to perform at the famous Ciachella festival due to her pregnancy but she returned this year to perform throngs of her songs to screaming fans.

"Y'all ready Coachella?," she asked the crowd as she opened her set, becoming the first woman of color to headline the music festival in Indio, California. Excited fans had a new nickname for this year's festival: Beychella.

Other headliners included the Weeknd and Eminem. "Coachella, thank you for allowing me to be the first black woman to headline," Beyonce said, before singing "Run the World (Girls)."

She opened her long-anticipated performance singing "Crazy in Love" accompanied by a New Orleans-style brass marching band, and later crooned a rendition of "Lift Every Voice and Sing," also known as the black national anthem. She sang several songs from her album "Lemonade," backed up by the band and surrounded by step dancers.

For nearly two hours, Beyoncé revealed surprise after surprise. A tribute to Nina Simone and quotes from Malcolm X. She also sang "Deja Vu" with her husband, Jay-Z, and danced with her sister, Solange.

After months of rumors, Coachella attendees also saw a Destiny's Child reunion. Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams appeared on stage with Beyoncé to sing their 90s hits "Say My Name," "Soldier" and "Lose My Breath."
Beyoncé gave us a pep rally and a dance recital and a second line and a revival and a homecoming and a block party and an opera and a movie and a play.
Beyonce makes me feel like I can do that. You can do that, we all can do that! Phew!!!! What a woman,

I now proclaim...Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter of the House of Dereon, First of Her Name, Queen of the Music Industry and Snatched Wigs, Protector of the Stage. Long may she reign.
beyonce's dance routine for one night is more exercise than I do in an entire year
Idk why y’all are up arguing about who is the male version of Beyonce. None of those bums equate to her. Idc who you name.
women should look upto Beyonce for empowerment irregardless of their race, she is a strong woman, soft and powerful, practical and spiritual, she is both hellfire and holy water, she is a gift to the world!
Y’all, we have never seen the likes of Beyonce in all of history. Let that sink in. There is no predicting where her career will go/end because there is no precedent for her. THERE IS NO PRECEDENT
